Moon Phases Watches are now becoming extremely popular because of their amazing features. There are several reasons why these watches are gaining popularity. One reason is that they provide accurate information about the lunar cycle. Another reason is that they are affordable. Lastly, they are beautiful and stylish.
There are three main types of watches that track the lunar cycle: analog, digital, and hybrid. Analog watches show the current phase of the moon through a disc or ring. Digital watches display the current phase digitally. Hybrid watches combine both analog and digital displays.
Longines Master Moonphase
The Longines Master Moonphase is one of those special timepieces that people dream about owning. This watch is no exception. It features a stainless steel case, a black leather strap, and a silver-tone dial. The face of this watch is designed to mimic the appearance of the full moon, complete with a subtle crescent shape. The dial is covered with a blued steel overlay, making it look like it’s been dipped in liquid gold. There’s even a date window at 3 o’clock.
The movement inside this watch is a self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of 48 hours. It’s powered by a single-button pusher crown.
Omega Speedmaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer Moonphase
The Speedmaster is one of the most iconic watches in the world. A few months ago, we reported about the limited edition Speedmaster launched by Omega — the Speedmaster Moonphase. Now, the brand has announced another special edition of the watch. This time around, the watchmaker has teamed up with NASA to offer a model with a moon phase display inside.
While the original Speedmaster Moonphase had a yellow dial and a blue background, this second edition features a white dial and black background. The moon appears as a white dot surrounded by a ring of blue stars. The entire thing looks quite realistic thanks to the use of laser technology.
The moon phase display is powered by a co-axial movement developed by Omega. The watch uses a caliber 2824A which is based on the same mainspring used in the Astronomical Observatory. As such, the watch will keep accurate time even during eclipses.
Casio Men’s AQW101-1AV Watch
The Casio Men’s AQw101-1AV Digital Moon Phase Watch is a great way to track the lunar cycle. This is a nice gift for someone who likes astronomy and watches the moon. You’ll find out how many days are left until the full moon, how many days are left till the next new moon, and the exact date of the full moon. A handy feature includes the ability to set alarms based on the moon phase.
This watch features a bright LCD screen with easy-to-read numbers and symbols. There is a compass included for finding north, and there is also a thermometer function that displays the current temperature. Other useful features include a stopwatch, a countdown timer, and a 12/24 hour format. The watch also has a 200-meter water resistance, making it suitable for swimming and snorkeling.
Victorinox Swiss Army Moon Phase Watch
Victorinox is renowned for creating some of the best pocket knives around, but we think they’re even better at making stylish watches too. This one ticks all the boxes – it looks great, feels sturdy and reliable, and does what it says on the box.
The watch features a stainless steel case with a black rubber strap with buckle closure, a rotating bezel with a moon phase display, a date window, and a luminescent hand. There are no complications here, just a simple design that works well and makes a statement without being overbearing.
Inside, there’s a Japanese Quartz movement powering everything, including the day/night display, the hands, and the moon phase wheel. The battery lasts up to five years.
Junghans Meister Calendar Automatic Watch
The watch is made out of stainless steel and measures about 39 mm in diameter. Its thickness is 7.5 mm, making it thinner than many of its competitors. The watch is water resistant up to 200 meters, meaning it will survive a dip in the pool or even a shower.
In terms of design, the watch looks quite classy. We like how the hands are placed on either side of the dial, giving the watch a symmetrical appearance. There is no logo on the dial, just some black markings that make it easier to read the time. What really makes this watch stand out is the moon phase display. At the 6 o’clock spot, there is a small window where the moon phases can be seen. This feature is unique to this model, so you won’t find it anywhere else.
This is a great choice for someone who wants a classic-style watch with a modern twist. If you don’t mind spending a bit more money, this is a great alternative to more popular models such as Rolex Day Date or TAG Heuer Carrera.
Bulova 96C26 Moon Phase Watch
Bulova has been making watches since 1875. In fact, it’s one of the oldest watch brands still active today. The brand’s latest creation is the Bulova 96C26, a stylish and functional timepiece that doesn’t stray too far from the standard round watch design. However, the dial isn’t just rounded; it’s rectangular, giving it a unique shape.
The dial itself is very appealing thanks to the soft cream tone of the face that contrasts nicely with the dark blue of the numerals and the deep blue background of the moon phase indicator. The hands are black and have a polished finish, while the hour markers are white and feature a brushed effect.
The case measures 40 mm in diameter and 4.5 mm thick, and it’s made out of stainless steel. The case back is screwed onto the front and is engraved with the Bulova logo. There’s no date window, but there is a small aperture on the side of the case, allowing you to see the movement inside.
Parnis Moon Phase Watch
Parnis is a Chinese brand known mostly for making cheap watches, although there are some exceptions. One such exception is the Moon Phase Watch, which costs around $100. This watch features a Seagull ST36 automatic mechanical movement, and it’s not too shabby either.
The dial isn’t the most elegant, and there are two small sub-dials located non-symmetrically, with the moon phase indication at the 6 o’clock position. There’s no date window, which might seem like a negative thing, but you can always add one later.
Citizen AV3006-50H Watch
The Citizen AV3006-20H is a classic automatic chronograph watch. It’s got a stainless steel case, a black leather strap, and a blue dial.
But what makes this particular model stand out is its unique moon phase display. This Citizen watch has a moon phase indicator located at the 12 o’clock position. Instead of having a rotating wheel, it uses seven orange moons over a blue backdrop.
This Citizen watch measures up to 40 mm wide. Its movement is powered by a Swiss Made ETA 2892 caliber. It runs on three different power sources, including battery, manual winding crown, and solar charging.
Certina DS-8 Chronograph Moonphase Watch
The Certina DS-8 chronograph watch is a very nice piece of Swiss horology. This model is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement and it features a moon phase indicator at 10 o’clock. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal lens, while the case is 42 mm wide and made of stainless steel. The latter is decorated with a beautiful sunburst pattern, which gives the whole thing a classy look.
At the 3 o’clock position there are the hour and minute hands, while the 12 o’clock position houses the second hand. On the opposite side, you’ll find a small seconds counter. There is no crown on this watch, but there is a pusher function.
Filippo Loreti Venice Moonphase Silver Mesh Watch
Filippo Loreti is a new Italian fashion house whose debut collection of watches is already garnering attention. This model is part of the “Venice Moonphase” range, which consists of four models, each named after a different city: London, New York, Paris, and Rome. Each model is inspired by the architecture of the respective cities.
The design of the watch is minimalistic, but the simplicity of the design is what makes it stand out. The dial features a silver mesh pattern, and the hands are white gold. At the center, there are three sub-dials, one for the hours, another for minutes, and the third for seconds. There are no complications on the dial. Instead, the moon phase indicator sits atop the dial.
Citizen Calendrier Moonphase Watch
The Citizen Calendrier is one of the cheapest watches on our list, coming in at just under $300. But don’t let the low cost fool you; this is actually a pretty decent watch. With a black leather strap and a blue dial, it looks great and offers some really nice features.
What makes Citizen Calendrier stand out is the inclusion of a moon phase display. This isn’t something we’ve seen on many watches, and it’s definitely a unique feature. If you’re looking for a cheap watch with a cool feature, this might be worth checking out.
Edox Les Vauberts Moonphase Gir Watch
Edox is a Swiss brand that produces watches under the name Les Vauberts. They produce some really nice watches that are often sold at high prices. One such model is the Les Vauberts Gir Moonphase watch. This watch features a beautiful dial with a lot of detail. It has a white gold case with a black face. The main feature of this watch is the fact that it has a lunar calendar. The whole dial is engraved with the phases of the moon.
The moon phase indicator sits in a sub-dial at 6 o’clock. A second sub-dial at 9 o’clock indicates the day of the week. At 3 o’clock there is a small sub-dial showing the current date.
Frederique Constant Classic Business Timer Watch
The Frederique Constant Classic Business Timepiece is one of the few affordable moon phases watches that we could recommend without reservations. Its design is classic, elegant, and timeless. And it doesn’t cost much either.
This watch is perfect for both men and women. The silver-tone stainless steel case is big enough to fit comfortably on almost anyone’s wrist, while still being small enough to wear discreetly. The face itself features a white gold plated dial with Roman numeral hour markers, a clear window at 12 o’clock, and a beautiful blue moon phase indicator at 6 O’Clock. The dial is easy to read even under bright light conditions, thanks to the large luminous numbers and markers. The dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal lens.
Orient Star Automatic Moon Phase Watch
Orient watches are known for being extremely reliable, and the Star Classic watch is no different. This model features a black dial with silver hands, Roman numeral hour markers, a date window at 3 o’clock, and a 24-hour chronograph at 6 o’clock. There’s also a moon phase indicator at 6 o’clock, and a skeleton display at 9 o’clock. The power reserve indicator is located at 12 o’clock.
The movement inside is the ETA 2824-2 automatic caliber, and it runs very smoothly. You’ll find the same design elements as on other models in the Star lineup, including the blue background and the Roman numeral indices. If you’re looking for a simple, elegant watch that won’t break the bank, look no further.
Seiko Premier Kinetic Moonphase Watch
The Seiko Premier Kinetic is a great watch choice for those looking for something simple and stylish. This watch offers everything you want from a sports watch, like reliable mechanical movement, a classic design, and a large date display. You’ll find yourself wearing this watch every day because it looks good on just about anyone.
This model features a sporty design, with a black leather strap and a brown leather band. The charming dial comes with an elegant white background, easy-to-read Roman numerals, 24 hours complication, and a sophisticated moon phase indicator at the 12 o’clock position.
Inside the 42.5 mm stainless steel case, we’ve got an in-house kinetic automatic movement from Seiko. This means your hand movements are charged up rather than winding a spring.
Rotary Windsor Multifunction Moonphase Watch
This is one of those watches that you don’t want to show off too much because it looks just like a regular watch. But there are some things about it that make it worth talking about. For starters, it’s quite classy. This isn’t something that you’d wear casually around town, but it does look really sharp paired up with a suit. And I mean that literally. You could probably pull this off by wearing a suit to work every day.
The best part about this watch is how well-designed it is. Sure, it doesn’t stand out in terms of style, but what it lacks in style, it makes up for in functionality. There are three different modes here – day, night, and moon phases. Each mode has its own display, meaning you won’t have to flip over the watch to see what time it is.
Frederique Constant Slimline Moon Phase Watch
The slimline moon phase watch from Frederique Constant is one of the most beautiful timepieces. This watch is a classic example of minimalism and elegance combined into one beautiful package. The dial is simple, clean, and uncluttered, while the stainless steel bracelet adds just enough color to keep things interesting.
The Frederique Constant Slimline moon phase watch is a very elegant timepiece and can be worn either by men or women. The aesthetic may appeal to the female world more, but the case size might be a little too small for the male wrist.
The moon phase indicator is a really nice touch and gives the dial a unique look. The moon phase indicator is located on the outer rim of the dial and contrasts nicely against the white background.
